Building resilience in the table grape industry
SATI has supported South Africa’s table grape growers for more than a century, providing industry insights, technical guidance, training, and transformation support to ensure the sector’s long-term growth and competitiveness. With deep rural roots, SATI continues to champion inclusive development, especially through BBBEE-focused initiatives.
Since 2023, SATI and Cultipowered have partnered to address critical challenges facing growers, including loadshedding, limited energy infrastructure, and access to essential mechanisation. By combining resources through a cost-sharing model with government and financial partners, the collaboration has helped farms strengthen resilience, improve operations, and reduce risk.
This partnership demonstrates how collective action can create meaningful impact—building a stronger, more sustainable, and more inclusive agricultural sector for the future.
